![]() You can also tune and customise your vehicles in many different ways, though I’m not going to get into that until I do a full review once I’ve thoroughly played through every game mode, as well as multiplayer. With a large variety of tracks that have additional layouts, including a fan favourite from the Flatout games, Crash Alley, you will have plenty of options to keep you busy! Better still, Crash Alley also has another more chaotic version called Bonebreaker Valley, which is three jumps that all converge onto one narrow straight at each side, resulting in one of two outcomes, either decimating or being decimated by your rivals as you head towards one another off of a jump. If you think that sounds like your type of game, well, you’re in for a treat. There is also lawnmower racing which will be a total riot as you fight your way round the track desperately trying not to fall off or be pushed off of it by one of your competitors. In Wreckfest there are your typical adrenaline pumping, destruction filled races and demo derbies, as well as last man standing. (Looks like the developers watched a lot of Top Gear whilst coming up with these! How long until we get the hovervan? -Ed) Given that double decker cars require two people to drive, this could turn into either a riot or an argument as you fight over who does which function of the car. There are vehicles such as school buses, a three wheeled Reliant Robin replica called the supervan, a combine harvester for harvesting the metal of anything that happens to be in your path, motor homes for very destructive sideswipes, and even double decker cars for you to try and (not) roll over. ![]() There is also your more, shall we say, unusual selection of funny and crazy vehicles for you to smash your competitors out of battle with. As you would expect there is your usual selection of standard banger racing cars, such as saloons, hatchbacks, estates and a rather intimidating big beefy SUV. The rather varied roster of vehicles Wreckfest has to offer is very impressive to say the least. They will cost £34.99 and £49.99, respectively. There will be two versions of Wreckfest the standard edition, which will come with the game’s standard content, and the deluxe edition, which will include all the game’s standard content, plus all the DLC, one day of early access, and just to top it off, if you pre-order Wreckfest deluxe edition you will receive a pre-order bonus car with which to start off your Wreckfest career. When Wreckfest comes out on PS4 and Xbox One, there will be no need for PC players to worry, you will get all the day one content that the console players will have when it is released on the 27th of August.
